Education

Today in Malaysia, to ensure your child receives a better education and proper schooling experience you need to send him to an international school. Let us not talk about our mainstream education system because it has gone down to the rock bottom even lower than some extremely poor countries. Don't forget that we were at par with Singapore just a few decades ago but in less than thirty years our standard has dropped so much while Singapore standard of education has soared to almost the top if not the top in the world. There isn't much to regret given the quality of the people helming the ministry from the ministers of education to the directors, ministry officials, state education officers, headmasters, teachers and down to the lowest ranks in the administration. If there is no emphasis on quality or meritocracy to put the right people at the right places then it is only expected such will be the outcome. Out of frustration I once made an informal statement among my colleagues...

From Boon Cheng Hau

Boo Cheng Hau of Johore DAP To Dr Mahathir a/l Kutty Sir, You are not too old to do more damage to Malaysia - If you become the PM again .... Yesterday, we saw in your press conference where you declared you can make Malaysia great again by becoming the PM - not only the tiger but the Lion of Asia...Hahaha...😅 So funny I think in February it was an incompetent person, sitting in a valid PM post and allowed it to be stolen.. Hahaha.. 😅 And wanting to be PM again? You obviously forgot how much damage you did to Malaysia from 1981 to 2003 when you were the PM. So much damage that we lagged so so far behind Singapore, a nothing, tiny country who split from Malaysia with zero natural resources.. You have done so much damage and lose out to their PM, Lee Kuan Yew How so? 🤔 You wonder.. Ok let me tell you 1965 : Singapore split from Malaysia to become independent. On that day, their PM, Mr Lee Kuan Yew cried on their National TV. Worried about how Singapore wa...

Racism - the roots of it in Malaysia ?

Mahathir has been a curse to the country. We have been very unfortunate to have had him as our leader. 1. Started the ethnic cleansing of civil service and GLCs. 2. Father of racism, with his constant calls disparaging Chinese and Indians. 3. Father of cronyism with multi billion dollar contracts given to his cronies. He marked the beginning of 'Cash is King' politics. 4. Father of corruption, with some saying that over $ 100 billion was lost during his tenure ( Bank Negara Forex loses, Maminco, MAS, Perwaja Steel, Proton etc ) 5. Father of nepotism, when his son Mirzan had his bankrupt shipping company bailed out by Petronas. One reason he fell out with Anwar. 6. Father of a dysfunctional educational system. Mainly responsible for getting rid of English medium schools when he was Minister of Education. 7. Some say , he was the hidden hand behind May 13. 8. Father of White Elephants including Putrajaya etc. Overspending resulted in the country caught flat footed during the 1998...

SUPPORT RASUAH BUSTERS CAMPAIGN

Media release from Persatuan Patriot Kebangsaan (PPM-005-14-22052017) On 16 February 2021. 1/2021. SUPPORT RASUAH BUSTERS CAMPAIGN   Patriot lauds the initiative of Karangkraf Media Group founder, Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub, to start an anti-corruption campaign called Rasuah Busters. This is something positive for the country and deserves widespread support.   The Rasuah Busters campaign aims to tackle all manners of corruption, not just petty corruption at lower levels, but also those at high echelons of public service, political office and government-link corporations. Often, corruption at higher levels of office, both in the public and private sectors, is less noticeable unless there is a whistle blower.     Corruption in the manners of cronyism, nepotism, patronage, graft and embezzlement, and influence peddling is identical in the realm of politics, and often escape with impunity. Patriot is please to acknowledge that the Rasuah Busters campaign has included such ...

Malaysia’s Past Damns its Future

[24/06, 04:42]: Malaysia's Past Damns its Future Murray Hunter's brilliant article explains what exactly went wrong with Malaysia, and why we're in this mess today. Hunter is an Australian academic and development specialist now living in Thailand     The seeds of today's political crisis in Malaysia were sown decades ago in an elaborate structure that has maintained a small elite in power since it was known as Malaya and achieved its independence from Britain in 1957. Direct discussion of the subject has basically been criminalized since the 1970s and deemed too sensitive for debate. Thus there has been little public discourse on who really exercises power, how and for whom. That has helped to enshrine a structure that has used a form of Malaysian apartheid to support this elite in positions of privilege over the rest of Malaysians they rule. Ever since the British colonial era, Malaysia has been divided and regarded through a racial prism. The major races that represe...

Dr Thirunavukkarasu

WRITTEN BY *Dr Thirunavukkarasu*, pilot by profession. A captain by rank, he now flies Vietnam Air. In his past time, he is a prolific writer. I want to *thank* Tun Dr Mahathir for making me a *pilot*. You see, right after I graduated with a *PhD in civil engineering*, I was told the *"Indian quota"* for university lecturers had been met and only qualified to renew my "Pensyarah Sementara" contract every few months. Despite another university offering me Associate Professorship. I tried to help Mahathir's *"Bumiputera Only"* clause by switching to a post-doctoral programme in the USA which I qualified for. That too, was met with another *"Bumiputera Only"* clause, which *doomed my public academic career* and *forced me to become a pilot instead*. *Now Mahathir wants to "Save Malaysia" from Discrimination*. *1)* When I was in Standard 2, Mahathir devised a secret market manipulation plan for the tin industry through his cor...

THE INFLUENCE OF HINDUISM ON MALAY CULTURE

THE INFLUENCE OF HINDUISM ON MALAY CULTURE by SABRI ZAIN ( Sabri Zain was born in Singapore. His father was from Alor Star, Kedah.) QUOTE: "...HINDUISM  exerted a profound influence on MALAY CULTURE before the coming of Islam to Malaysia. And this influence has survived, despite the strict monotheistic restrictions of the Islamic faith, TO THE PRESENT DAY. There are many other HINDU RELIGIOUS TERMS that have lost their original meaning and are (still) being freely and unconsciously USED BY MUSLIM MALAYS IN CONNECTION WITH THE RELIGION OF ISLAM....." -SABRI ZAIN Read here:http://www.sabrizain.org/malaya/hindu2.htm HINDU influence in the Malay Peninsula was initially limited more or less rigidly to the upper class of old Mal…

Ketuanan thinking

*Here's another snippet of ketuanan thinking 👇🏼* A coalition of Malay rights groups, led by Perkasa, today urged Putrajaya to consider allowing only Bumiputeras to be exempt from repaying their National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN) loan schemes. They noted in their National Unity Memorandum that the majority of PTPTN borrowers exempted from repaying their loans were Chinese, and this could anger the Bumiputeras. "The Malaysian government must take immediate action over the phenomenon of many non-Bumiputeras being exempted 100% from PTPTN, compared with the Bumiputera students," read the memorandum, which was drafted by a committee headed by Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali. "At the same time, the Malaysian government must study the reasons why Bumiputera students' academics are declining, compared with non-Bumiputeras. "In this context, the Malaysian government should review whether PTPTN exemptions should be given to Bumiputeras alone, in l...
